The European Elections: Are EU policymakers reaching out to citizens?

Next event will held on April 17, at 18H, in Brussels, organized by Harold Tor. We will talk about “The European Elections: Are EU policymakers reaching out to citizens?”, with VALENTIN DUPOUEY, FEDERICO TERRENI and BIANCA BAUMLER.

Join a panel of EU public affairs professionals as they talk about the key question at the forthcoming EU elections: are our EU policymakers reaching out to ordinary citizens? Our panel will be looking at the main difficulties of reaching out to citizens, especially the key discrepancies between what citizens experience daily and what is actually happening in Brussels/Strasbourg. We will also be discussing how and why different segments of the population vote (or not vote) in the elections, and what are the information channels that might influence their voting patterns.

Joining us in the panel are:

  • Valentin Dupouey, Director, College of Europe
  • Federico Terreni, Policy & Advocacy Manager, European Movement International
  • Bianca Baumler, Media Officer, Volt Belgium
